We have Shelter sites located in the Queens

12:00AM-8:00AM (Morning)
8:00AM-4:00PM (Evening)
4:00PM -12:00 AM (Overnight)

Responsibilities:

• Perform continuous rounds throughout entire shift
• Monitor and ensure the security of the shelter. Guards patrol the landing, grounds and community areas.
• Monitor clients and the facility via security cameras, screenings, and rounds.
• Employ crisis prevention and intervention if a conflict occurs.
• Diffuse all confrontations in a professional verbal manner
• Observe and report irregularities regarding client behavior or building or security issues as necessary.
• Conduct fire safety patrol and report to supervision.
• Document damage and incidents as necessary.
• Act as the liaison with police and other emergency services.

Requirements:

• New York State Security License required
• Valid F-02 Fireguard for Shelters required
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• Ability to write a clear and concise incident report
• Ability to stand for an extended period of time
